Can Israel emulate the U.S. in 2017?
By Richard R. Tryon

Read Alan Wolfe's words below...then ask what may be helpful for the globally interested international community and its mostly irrelevant U.N. is the question of how can you mix into an expanded re-invented nation of Israel started in 1948 by refugee survivals from the WWII disaster known as the "Holocaust".
Indeed it was as nasty a chapter to the sect of Abraham known as Hebrews, and that group had already experienced Babylon, Egypt, and a huge loss in the European centers of the Diaspora in more modern times.
Asking Jews and Arabs who are of a different tribe of Abraham's life, to live and work together is not a new idea- its done in most of the world. See (Religion) at gratisbooks.com to find out more.
Alan Wolfe's words of Feb. 3, 2017 in the WSJ below set the stage..."The Palestinians have proven, over and over again, that they don't want peace unless all Israelis are removed or dead, and they have proven, over and over again, that they do not have the capability to manage a sovereign state.
A two state solution is no longer possible or desirable. The Israelis should annex the West Bank, allow the Palestinians as much autonomy as they can handle without violence, and otherwise administer it just as they administer the rest of Israel."
A New Idea!
What may be helpful for the globally interested international community and its mostly irrelevant U.N. is the question of how can you mix Muslims into an expanded re-invented nation of Israel started in 1948? First, remember is was started by refugee survivals from the WWII disaster known as the "Holocaust".
Indeed it was as nasty a chapter to the sect of Abraham known as Hebrews, and that group experienced Babylon, Egypt, and a huge loss in the European centers of the Diaspora in more modern times.
Asking Jews and Arabs who are of a different tribe of Abraham's life, to live and work together is not a new idea- its done in most of the world, and finding a path to eventual full citizenship is now trying to finally play out in Puerto Rico as these words are written! What does PR have to do with Israel? Perhaps a lot.
Yes, Puerto Rico became an annexed territory of the U.S. along with Cuba, and the Philippines as 'war booty' from the 1898 Spanish-American War. In 1917, the PR citizens became U.S. citizens not able to vote, pay no U.S. taxes and enjoy U.S. passports. Cuba was freed in 1901 and the Philippines after WWII.
A hundred years later, many wealthy and other citizens of PR, created a second major political party. One with a new idea, as it became known as the Statehood Party. It is known as the NPP (New Progressive Party) founded in 1968 by Luis Ferré, elected as Governor. It has just passed yet another effort in P.R. to get the remaining citizens, not yet having flown to the mainland to escape the bankrupt island's government and its remaining power and water/sewer utilities, to vote again, to re-afirm it obvious preference in 2012 to become an accepted 51st State of the U.S.?
Is it time to let P.R. citizens vote and pay U.S. federal taxes? Is it time for the West Bank of what used to be part of the Hebrew nation in Biblical times known as Samaria and Judea, become a new version of the American story as experienced by PR?
Can the 1898 Puerto Rican peasants be somewhat like the Muslim population of the West Bank and indeed some parts already within the Jewish state of Israel, to become citizens of Israel, without taxes or vote for those with minimal income? Could this lead to a time of an United States of Israel?
It would it be as diverse as some of the U.S. states are today? Think of it? We already have in the U.S. states with cities like Los Angeles, and San Francisco, California and New York City, in NY that want open borders to immigrants without any legal evidence of entry to have driver's licenses and automatic voter registration, without any sign of voting being related to proof of citizenship! If the U.S can tolerate these, why can't Israel move in a new direction to emulate how the U.S. has handled the PR population?
Of course, there is one huge problem that the U.S. has not really seen in dealing with P.R. There have been only a very few citizens in P.R. with a mind to terrorize fellow citizens in the name of a religion. Unfortunately, Islam's two major sects are not strangers to what is called “Jihad” that seems to excuse some who wish to lead Islamic Muslims by intimidating with violent beheadings and more modern devices such as free explosive rockets from Iran, for example, being shipped to Gaza to shoot at what they call infidel citizens in Israel.
To avoid this, its time to also re-annex Gaza and give its citizens the same future as those of PR are perhaps now ready to vote for- to be a U.S. State ready to be accepted as full fledged citizens able to pay taxes and vote after convincing in a mere 119 years, that they are ready. Perhaps Arab citizens of Israel as one complete nation can do the same in less time?
Who knows what religion will be involved? Israel is host to three different approaches to its faith in Abraham's effort. Might the Arabs, also sons of Abraham, become combined in a new combination of a Christian-Muslim-Hebrew sort and abandon the extremist notions that Mohammed somehow failed to root out of the Koran?
Could it be be fair to say that many of America's indigenous Native American's array of tribes of what the original Europeans thought were really from India to be known as Indians, and are now mostly integrated by language and are now showing capabilities to be fully able taxpaying voting U.S. citizens. Until something like this happens, Israel may have to include what the U.S. did- own PR as a territory with U.S. non-voting citizens who manage to move into areas where voting rights can be allowed with sufficient control as to, for example, keep CA and NY from overpowering the Electoral College!
Think about it. The minority Arabs and Bedouins of 1948 that did not relocate to Jordan and elsewhere are among the so-called Jewish sons of Abraham in the area of Israel- a modern productive democratic nation that might be heading toward becoming as able to accept and integrate with the common language, skills, and democratic approach to life as has happened to make other similar nations like the U.S. be more prosperous and productive. Of course, Israel doesn't talk much about it...but not all citizens are Jewish without any sign of other DNA in their blood. Who knows, just as surely as it happened in the U.S.- two persons of different DNA, as is universal anyway, will be happily married and live productive lives in the fully integrated nation of Israel! Yes, its been happening elsewhere for far longer than many wish to admit.
I'll bet that President Trump can accept this theme. Can you?
